Hi, I'm Ruby Welstead, a professional portrait artist based in the UK. I specialise in highly detailed, realistic coloured pencil drawings of animals, capturing not just their likeness, but their unique personality and character.
Each portrait is carefully hand drawn using professional, lightfast materials to ensure it will last a lifetime without fading. I work with a combination of Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran d'ache luminance and Pablo pencils on Fabriano Artistico HP paper 640gsm, which is acid-free and of archival quality.
